Sydney Bangla Women’s Network
Stronger together
Who we are, what we do
SBWN is an Australian-based non-profit organization, driven by the heart and strength of our Bangladeshi-Australian women’s network. Together, we uplift our community by giving back with purpose, passion, and unwavering support.
Our mission is rooted in hope and transformation.
Through empowering initiatives, we strive to elevate the voices of Bengali women across Sydney by fostering financial literacy, championing social equity, and nurturing a deep sense of belonging.
We believe in the power of connection.
Special Needs Wing
The Special Needs Wing supports Bangladeshi mothers and carers who face cultural and social barriers to accessing essential resources. We are here to fight stigma through open conversations and provide a supportive space for sharing of experiences, knowledge and hope.
Senior Citizen Forum
SBWN has developed a special initiative designed to build a strong community channel for senior citizens that offers both meaningful social networking and responsive support when needed. Our primary goal is to design activities that enhance the mental and physical wellbeing of seniors, keeping them active, engaged, and valued members of the community.
Women Empowerment
SBWN seeks to empower women from culturally diverse backgrounds in Australia, helping them achieve financial independence and long-term stability. Through shared experiences, compassionate support, and meaningful opportunities, we aim to uplift women so that no one walks alone on their journey.
Igniting potential, inspiring change

Goal and Vision
Our vision is to grow SBWN within our community by fostering trust, celebrating diversity, and serving with humility. We aspire to make a meaningful impact on the Australian Bangladeshi community and enrich the lives we connect with. Our goal is to create a safe, inclusive space that welcomes and supports individuals with diverse needs.

Goal and Mission
What began as a journey in 2022 has flourished into a growing movement. SBWN was established to advance social and public welfare objectives, guided by its mission and built upon the following key pillars:
- Creating awareness and engagement with special needs children and families
- Providing events and programs to promote engagement of senior citizens with the community, providing regular touch points with “SBWN buddies” and promoting a sense of belonging.
- Supporting women’s empowerment in their careers through training, skills and job opportunities, through networking and connections.
A message from the president
At SBWN we believe in the limitless potential of women. Our mission is to empower, uplift, and inspire every woman to achieve her dreams and create lasting change in her community. To our supporters, your passion and dedication are the heart of our mission. Every step we take toward empowering women is made possible by your unwavering support.
Together, we are building a brighter, more inclusive future. Let’s continue to create positive change.
